Volunteers

Chico Central Little League is an all-volunteer organization. Without the help of parents and volunteers, there is no Chico Central Little League. We rely on the generous support of family, friends, sponsors and community members to keep our league strong and thriving.

Volunteers fill many roles -- from our Board of Directors, to team managers, coaches and team parents -- and we invite you to share your talents with our community! As a chartered member of Little League International, all our volunteers are required to pass a background check each year. The purpose of these background checks is to protect our children by providing as safe an environment as possible. Therefore, failure to complete and submit the volunteer application form by those required to do so will result in that person being barred from participation in Chico Central Little League.

To volunteer, click here or choose the volunteer option while going through the registration process for your player. Be sure to have a copy of your Driver's License ready to upload. All information submitted is kept confidential; should you have any concerns, reach out to the League President.

All volunteers must complete a Little League volunteer Application form each year.

Effective 2022, the State of California passed AB 506, a new state law to protect children who participate in community youth athletic programs from child abuse and neglect. The law requires finger-print based Live Scan Background checks and online training for all youth league volunteers who are in direct contact with children more than 32 hours a year. For Chico Central Little League this includes all board members, managers, coaches, and adult umpires. Please note this State of California requirement is in addition to the volunteer background check completed by Little League USA.
